The Revolution Begins In The Heart

Tear down these walls
that keep us afraid and alone
The solitude bears down on us
like a runaway train
Ripping us limb from limb
Leaving us bloody on the tracks
Crouching in the shadows
watching the feelings drift
witnessing a muted soul
The revolution begins in the heart
and feels its way into the mind
Do you ever feel the need
to shred the torn curtain
to break apart the iceberg
between us
Passion can not be bottled
it exists as fire in the wind
Take these fated fantasies
and let them rest in peace
Fragmented in the past
sleeping in the darkness
blooming in the moonlight
Beauty has the power
I can not say if that is right
but it is in the eye of the beholder
Even though society
judges our every step
Tear down these walls
that keep us apart and without
