The Color Of Dreams

Soft gold light embracing
A world away from here
Try to hold on to the feeling
Eclipsed by reality encroaching
Flowers of doom blossoming
Dreaming in the softness of you
The eventual rainy wetness
Leading to a stormy night
Of passionate tracing
Could it be the color of dreams
A rainbow of seduction
Hot and heavy nights between us
A sudden feeling entrapped
You showed me your vulnerability
Soft flesh of color
Transcendent beauty in your eyes
In a dark studio
With the drapes drawn
I escaped everything dead
There was a lifetime to be found
In the rays of sunlight
Touching the sordid carpeted ground
I lived eternities there my friend
Cemented off a city street
Discreet
The greasy food congealed in my veins
As if a warrant had been taken out for
Yesterday and the shambles of the
Darkest muse had responded
To take the past under arrest and
Liberate my dreams
