Stumbling through the darkness
A phase of restless wandering
After facing a mundane world
Devoid of the higher hunger
Facing the starless void
Introspective contemplation
No one can reach inside you
Your serpentine intestines entwined
Walking an uncertain path
Shrouded in the moonlight
Harboring antiquated hope
Sensuality confronted with a ruthless world
Dark eyes searching for the escape
Embraced by the will to survive
Meandering through the shadows
Falling hard on the floor
Nocturnal voyage beyond sleep
Cannot find the way back home
Not sure if you want to return
Unless you find that which you are searching
Scattered across the icy highway
The fragmented remains of loss
As you curse the path that brought you here
Even then wishing to push forward
Trying to find some semblance of peace
Connected with the horizon
At one with the landscape
Far from your bed
